Hi all, wondering if any of you have any ideas on what might have caused this?
I was rolling/coasting at about 15-20mph towards a set of traffic lights, when the engine just suddenly cut out.
As i was just rolling at the time, it took me a split second to realise what had happened, as there was a slight curve in the road and when I went to turn the steering, the steering lock had come on.
The car started up instantly though when I re-tried.
Pretty sure it wasn't a bog standard stall as I had the clutch in at the time, was in second gear, and there was certainly no "judder" that you get when a car stalls.
The car wasn't cold either at it'd been happily cruising at 70mph for an hour on the M62 just 15 minutes before it happened, and the car is used everyday as well.
I remember a friend having a similar issue on a Clio years ago which was traced to a faulty fuel pump, but his car was about 8 years old so would be a bit surprised that my FD2 has already developed a similar fault.
Any ideas all?

Thanks for the reply mate.
Well just checked my chassis code, and my car could well be affected!
Any ideas on whether a Honda dealership will be able to sort this for me??

I would think that a main Honda dealer could double check all this for you to see if yours is affected but not too sure how far they would really go and if the could do the reprogramming that is require to fix the fault I dare say they would most certainly charge as its an import. Im not 100%, has anyone has any dealings of this nature with a UK Honda dealer?

Just resurfacing this topic; was there any development Anthony? Did you manage to solve your issue? What was the reason behind?
