You'd be hard pushed to find one with that exact spec in the uk so either option is to buy one here already and order the parts or order car from japan with parts already fitted. Due to exchange rate just now though i wouldn't say that one way would be cheaper than the other to be honest.

Good website for those parts is http://www.tougedistribution.com (e-mail adam.lawrence@tougedistribution.com) prices updated regularly so you could cost the parts and see which option is more suitable for you.

They are becoming an authorised trader in here as well. I have used them as well.
Another thing to consider if you import one with all the mods on is possibly the MOT for the first time....

hi All, sorry for the slow response to this thread, to be honest i dont have too much time to check the FD2 owners forum as much as i would like as im pretty much doing all aspects of our business at the moment due to down sizing our staff in response to the recession and GBP fall against the JPY. Despite this however we are very busy and are still importing all manor of JDM Honda Type R's to order including the FD2 Type R....

I have however had to take the last week off to make preparations for the birth of our 1st child which is due any day now (1 week 2 days officially to the due date.. Arghh!! ) and on top of this we are currently trying to finish a custom Mazda Bongo Camper Conversion which is taking up ALOT of time.....

Danielle would normally be the one keeping on top of email inquiries whilst im very busy but of course at 39 weeks pregnant shes quite limited to the time and effort she can put in so i have to admit we are running behind at the moment..

The situation with the FD2's currently is that availability is good and prices are steadily starting to drop for the used examples at the moment. The Yen is however still Sub 150JPY - £1 which doesnt make the car a bargain but if you want a FD2 then you have to live with the status quo....
